A musk lorikeet, its blue cap and red cheeks making a striking statement with the bright green of its main plumage, is busily preparing a nest in the hollow of an old tree. Habitat trees with suitable nesting hollows are often at least a hundred years old. While the musk lorikeet is not currently endangered, such trees are vital to the survival of other species such as the swift parrot. This artwork will bring a little of the joy of nature into a room.
